Telling Stories of Intersectionality All Year Long
ABOUT THE SESSION: Join CAMA for a moderated panel discussion with local organizations who present and tell authentic stories of identity and intersectionality all year long. Acknowledging specific identities during their months of celebration are important, but so is keeping this work going all year long. Panelists will share examples from their organizations, better practices, how they overcome (and continue to address) challenges, community and individual impact, and more. We will talk about how these stories are presented in programs, events, and marketing, and how organizational cultures support this work. Time is set aside for Q&A discussion. This session builds on our August meeting about Smart Marketing and September meeting about language and how Words Create Worlds.
